This installation is a study and exploration of the different opportunities, moods, and scenarios that can be created by changing the lighting of the space. Based on my experience in art installation, I consider the application of lighting design as one of the most valuable tools to compliment the architecture, define the space, and ultimately create a memorable experience for the visitor.

The piece of art is located at the end of the hallway as part of a simple and effective display, to focus the attention on the treatment of light. In Scene A, the row of evenly spaced recessed downlights illuminates the path to the art, creating a more dramatic and direct effect but also a contrasting display that focuses uniquely on the piece. While in Scene B, the trimless LED linear recessed lighting installed in channels in the ceiling and wall, creates a lighter atmosphere that accentuates the volumetric qualities of the space.
