Originally from Spain, Cecilia received her bachelor’s degree in History of Art and an MA in History of Contemporary Art and Architecture at Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain. During these years she combined her academic studies with design courses in London and Paris. Eventually, she moved to New York City in 2013 where she studied Constructed Environments at Parsons The New School and obtained an internship in the Exhibition Department in MoMA PS1.

In the following years, she worked as a Gallery Assistant, and as a Registrar in a few art galleries in New York City. After her experience in the art market, she redirected her career within the art world and joined the Collections Management team as an Art Technician for the Brooklyn Museum. During her years in this institution, she was immersed in the hands-on experience of producing exhibitions where she worked on blockbuster attractions along with the day-to-day operations. Notable exhibitions include ‘David Bowie Is’, ‘Proof: Francisco Goya, Sergei Eisenstein, Robert Longo’, ‘Marilyn Minter: Pretty/Dirty’, 'We Wanted a Revolution: Black Radical Women, 1965–85', and many more.

This experience led her to pursue her career as a designer who is interested in creating inclusive, memorable, and unique exhibitions with an individual and collective impact. In 2020, she earned her graduate degree in Exhibition and Experience Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology.
